Who is the most Jalop celebrity of them all? (pic unrelated)
Who actually works on their own whips, has impeccable taste (or not) etc. I want true A listers here, not reality show flunkies like Wayne Carini or Xhibit. Seinfeld, Leno, we all know about them, but give me more. Go deep, stuff like Tom Hanks and his Syncro Vanagon...

oh yeah, this begs the question of why our leaders over on this side of the pond think showing this side of themselves is a negative thing

to be fair she was a driver and mechanic in the armed forces and is a bad ass.
Her daughter Princess Anne owned a reliant scimitar too.

Paul Newman.
"At the age of 70 years and eight days, he became the oldest driver to be part of a winning team in a major sanctioned race, winning in his class at the 1995 24 Hours of Daytona ."

It's really a question of who *hasn't* gone crazy with their funds and gotten obvious things like '57 Chevys, the true denominator here will be someone who has gotten (or still has) something totally stupid and just DNGAF. Emmett Kelly was a good example in some respects - had a 2CV and a Panhard Dyna Z - his son had a Crosley and a Renault 4CV. Peter Falk is another good one - that Peugeot counts for a lot.

Rowan Atkinson.
He Daily Drives a McLaren F1 and has even wrecked it at least once. He got it rebuilt (to the tune of nearly a million dollars) and kept on driving.
From his interviews, you can tell he loves his cars and he loves putting miles on them.

Though some may have issues with the politics of either, Ronnie and LBJ (insofar as either were celebrities) both had interesting choices too. Ronnie with the Subaru Brat and other weirdnesses, and LBJ with the Amphicar.

He also Grand Marshaled the Chicago Auto Show, it seems, though he was more "temporarily in possession of" the '54 Cadillac LaEspada than an owner as such:
The Chive also says that his first car was a '34 Nash.

As much as it will make people cringe, Paris Hilton drives an LFA and owned (owns?) a Moto 125 team. Those are pretty Jalop cards to hold.

And he gives my wife a reason to watch racing documentaries with me.
Bless you, Mr. Dempsey.

That may be an indicator that somebody on her staff is trying desperately to Jalop vicariously.

Potentially, I (obviously) don't know the girl. My thinking is though, there has to be some pretty serious interest to buy into the 3rd tier feeder series that no one watches. If you were trying to just be associated with the sport you'd just buy a sponsorship in the premier series where people would actually hear about it.

Or there was a friendship involved. People sometimes do things for or with friends that seem odd from the outside, and is much as PH is derided in every way for shallowness, I imagine she's relatively guileless in terms of her personal friendships.

Watching this trailer makes me want to keep my car forever, slowly making it better and better like Bana and Jack Olson. I really need to watch the whole movie...
